Tourism continues to come back to life on the Arcadins Coast with the official reopening of the Royal Decameron-Indigo Beach Resort.


This Saturday, August 1st, 2020, the Minister of Tourism, Myriam Jean, carried out a ribbon cut followed by a visit of the place, thus marking the recovery of activities at the hotel, closed since April 2020 due to COVID-19. pandemic
Accompanied by the Secretary of State for Public Safety, Mr. Tacit Toussaint, Mayor of Montrouis, Mr. Blaise Élisée, of the Artibonite delegate. Mr. Amisial Jean Osner, President of the Tourist Association of Haiti (ATH) Ms. Raina Forbin and Mr. Fernando Garcia, himself Decameron Region Director, Ms. Jean was welcomed by the hotel owners, the sisters Beatrice and Véronique Nadal, and the Sales Manager, Mr. Brice Dumanois. The Minister also attended a guided tour as well as a demonstration of the disinfection of rooms and luggage when guests arrive at Decameron. The visit that began with a welcome show, ended with a lunch that served as a pretext of brewing ideas between the various actors and state authorities present.


This weekend marks a turning point in the revival of tourism activities on the coast, and therefore the economic recovery of the sector, which has experienced lean cows since 2019.
The Ministry of Tourism is committed to providing all its support to beach hotels and coastal residents, but also and above all to enforce the health protocol developed by the Government and the ATH; which protocol is part of the fight against the spread of the COVID-19. pandemic
