UNICEF grants medical equipment to Haiti

On November 26, 2019, the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) officially received from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), 26 tons of drugs and emergency equipment, midwifery kits, obstetric and surgical, which will continue to cover the needs of about 37 public health institutions in the country.

According to the government, these drugs and equipment are intended to support the health needs of pregnant women, newborns and children under 5 years.

In recent weeks the operation of hospitals has been severely disrupted by political unrest. Many hospitals had been dysfunctional because of the impossibility of getting inputs.
