The Haitian head of state, Jovenel Moise, deplores the political instability that has prevented the nation from making progress in the various sectors during the year 2019. "In 2020, let us commit to breaking this cycle of uncertainties, to restore peace in the streets and in homes, to protect our children on the way to school and in their daily lives, to fight armed gangs and to initiate this inter-Haitian dialogue if necessary and if urgent, "said President Moise in his message on the occasion of Independence Day.

Once again the head of state hands the olive branch to the leaders of the various sectors who demand his resignation. "In wishing everyone a happy new year, I am reaching out to all socio-political actors so that together we can offer a better country to the millions of fellow citizens who expect us to surpass themselves," insists it.
