President Jovenel Moses has canceled his trip to New York where he is expected to attend the 74th UN General Assembly.

The Haitian Head of State instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs to lead the Haitian delegation to the 74th Ordinary Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Mr. Edmond, who is already in New York where he had meetings with several US officials and other dignitaries on the sidelines of his participation in this annual event of the United Nations.

Recall that the 193 Member States of the United Nations are represented in the General Assembly - one of the six principal organs of the United Nations - to discuss many international issues and to cooperate in areas covered by the United Nations Charter, such as development, peace, and security, international law, etc.
