A posthumous interview was broadcast this Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in which Oriel Jean, former security chief of Jean Bertrand Aristide has made strong statements against the Haitian ex-president and his close supporters in relation to the death of journalist Jean Dominique, assassinated April 3, 2000.

These revelations were made in an interview with journalist Guyler C. Delva by Oriel Jean, about a year before the assassination by bullets of the latter in the afternoon of March 2 in Delmas (northern edge).

Around 1999-2000, there would be triggered by Aristide offensive against the journalist Jean Dominique because of his critical stance against the political party Fanmi Lavalas, former President, Jean explained in this interview broadcast on the private Radio Caribbean.

Corruption cases, drugs and administrative gabegies pointed the finger at the reporter, while Rene Preval was in power, Aristide would have irritated at the time, he stressed.

"President Aristide had thought that if Jean Dominique is not braked, it will be a handicap for his return to power," he said, adding that it was only after the death of the journalist that he understood the meaning of these words.

"(...) If we do nothing to hang it, and nobody hinders our return to power in 2001 will be mortgaged," he insisted, attributing these claims to the former president.

What will make the situation worse is the noise that ran at the time about the possibility of the presidential candidacy of Jean Dominique, said Oriel Jean.

According to him, Aristide would have seen with suspicion the development of the peasant movement Koze Pèp promoted among others by Jean Dominique. He would have considered a political party launched by Préval and Dominique to thwart the elections scheduled for the end of 2000.

Oriel Jean has mentioned the name of former Senator Fanmi Lavalas, Mirlande Libérus Pavert, who was charged by Aristide to silence Jean Léopold Dominique.

Dominique was seen as a "cancer" by former Senator.

These statements Oriel Jean are broadcast at a time when a report was issued on January 7, 2015, on the back of Jean Léopold Dominique by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Court of Appeal in Port-au-Prince.

This report refers to former Senator Mirlande Libérus Pavert as "intellectual author" of the double murder of the journalist and the guardian of his Radio Haiti Inter station, Jean-Claude Louissaint.

Eight other people, including Lavalas militants, are charged in the murder. The former deputy mayor of Port-au-Prince, Gabriel Harold Severe, Annette Auguste (Sô Àn) Frantz Camille Jeudy Jean Daniel, Markenton Michel Mercidieu Toussaint, and Deserved Dimsley Milien mentioned in this document.

As part of the investigation into the murder of journalist, no less than 19 witnesses and defendants were heard at the Court of Appeal in Port-au-Prince between 10 February 2011 and June 5, 2013, among them former Presidents René Garcia Préval and Aristide's March 7 and 8, respectively 2014.

Mirlande Libérus Pavert is considered intellectual author of the fact that it was never presented to the judge's office after the hearing January 25, 2013 Oriel Jean.

Former President Aristide has challenged the statements of Oriel Jean in his deposition in May 2014.

"Mirlande Libérus is innocent. Former Senator of the Republic can not be a victim of the lies that must engage only their author [Oriel Jean], "said Aristide according to the report made by the clerk Dabrésil Juliette Boy VEUS to the Court of Appeal Port-au-Princ, 17 January 2014
