Haiti News FLASH: Light Earthquake off Grand-Boucan

The Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) of the Bureau of Mines and Energy (BME) is associated with the Ministry of Environment (MDE) and the Permanent Secretariat for Risk and Disaster Management (SPGRD) to inform that a light earthquake of magnitude 3.7 on the Richter scale was recorded yesterday Monday December 10 at 5:42 and 5 seconds local time.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at sea off Grand-Boucan about 21 km northwest of Petit Trou de Nippes and 13 km northeast of Pestel.

"No damage reported for the moment," informs us the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC).
