Haiti News Earthquake: Message from the CARICOM to Jovenel Moise

In a message to President Jovenel Moise, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, the Secretary General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) extended his condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the October 6th earthquake that struck the Northwest Haiti.

"The Community extends its condolences to the families who lost their loved one, its best wishes for the full and speedy recovery of the injured, and expresses its solidarity with the Government and People of Haiti at this trying moment [...]

The CARICOM is deeply saddened by the loss of life and the significant destruction of property occasioned by an earthquake in the northwest of Haiti, a Community Member State.
