Dossier of the entrepreneurs victim
President Jovenel Moïse announced the creation of an Interministerial Commission to address the issue of entrepreneurs who were victims of the last protests in the country on 6 and 7 July 2018.

For its part, the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) invites its members victims of acts of vandalism last weekend to make findings (minutes) with judges of peace and to put in writing all the complaints. It is important that this be done in the rules in order to constitute a file which will take place of legal and formal claim. The ADIH remains at your disposal.

Embassy of the United States :
The U.S. Embassy in Haiti will be open for routine and emergency American Citizen Services beginning on July 11. Individuals with prior-scheduled ACS appointments for July 11 may come to the Embassy at their appointment time. Those who had ACS appointments for July 9 and 10 will be contacted for rescheduling. The Embassy remains closed for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa services. To reschedule your visa appointment, please call 509-2812-2929 (Haiti) or 1-703-544-7842 (U.S.)

Embassy of Canada :
The Canadian Embassy in Haiti will remain closed this Wednesday, July 11.

French Embassy :
The security situation throughout the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, which had deteriorated sharply last weekend, is gradually returning to normal. However, one must remain vigilant in his movements, especially in the province where roadblocks can still exist with opportunistic elements practicing the racket of vehicles. It is therefore preferable to suspend, unless imperative, any travel project in Haiti and for people on the spot to exercise the utmost caution. Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for António Guterres, UN Secretary-General, said at a press briefing that "[...] the situation remains tense and volatile following the suspension by Prime Minister Lafontant on Saturday, of the fuel price increase. The MINUJUSTH encourages all actors to engage in constructive dialogue to find a peaceful solution to the situation. The police component of the Mission has contributed to the elimination of roadblocks to ensure access to key roads and will continue to coordinate closely with the relevant authorities if the situation requires it."
