New school lunch program
Laurent Bonneau, Head of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Department of the French Embassy, went to Fond des Nègres where the World Food Program and the Bureau of Nutrition and Development (BND) are implementing a pilot program of school canteens financed by French food aid and using exclusively local purchases: cereals (rice, millet, ground corn) and especially fresh vegetables (carrots, aubergines, spinach, cabbage, tubers ...).
