PESTEL, Grand’Anse, HT (sentinel.ht) – Senatorial candidate and DEA fugitive, Guy Philippe, called on the citizens of Grand’Anse to rise up and block all roads leading into the city if police were to try and apprehend him.
The 2004 coup leader made the declaration a day after President Jocelerme Privert delivered a strong speech in Arcahaie on the 213th Flag Day Anniversary Ceremony.
It deserves noting that Privert did not put blame on any specific person during his speech but it seems Philippe believes he was being referred to and said he would continue his rebellion against the administration.
Guy Philippe also took the opportunity to lend his support to ally, Jovenel Moïse of Parti Haitien Tet Kale (PHTK), the party of former President Michel Martelly.
On Friday, he would hold a march through the streets of Pestel with his supporters. He wrote on his Facebook page “the people are my allies”.
