What a smart move! From a low pay job in Romania, Soni Mustivar has literally doubled his monthly earning when he left the struggling club Petrolul Ploiesti for Kansas City in the MLS. At US$250, 000 a year, Soni is just US$7,000 short to tie Jeff Louis.

Jean Sony Alcenat’s US$11,000 a month allow him to be in the top 5 but this figure does not do him justice. Alcenat who joined Stars of Bucharest as a free agent has also received additional money as required by his contract.
