Haiti-Sports: MJSAC wants to adopt a national sports policy

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) under the theme "We are doing sports for a better future" Thursday presented the draft National Sports Assizes in order to adopt a national sports policy, legislation in sport and action plans and programs for each of the strategic priorities and orientations of the national policy document.


In his address, MJSAC owner, Jimmy Albert sought the regular involvement of national sports media in the national conference, involvement on a representative basis the various levels of local government. The creation of a technical working group and other strategies will be considered to facilitate the achievement of these objectives.

One member of the steering committee, explained in detail the objectives and points to reach for the success of this project. He stressed that the review and validation of the national sports policy paper will be several successors and complementary steps.

For his part, the president of the Haitian Football Federation, Dr Yves Jean Bart gave its support to this initiative and confessed that the achievement of this project will not only facilitate the federations to find a way forward to achieve their sporting activities , will also play a big role in the lives of talented young athletes in the country.

Note that this meeting be held in the ten departments of the country, from July to November 2015, and the sport will be the target population of this project. A delegation of MJSAC sojourn in these departments for two days to collect the complaints and feedback from the participants on the content of the document.

For the success of this project, the Minister Albert invited all sports federations and associations, the private and public sectors to unite to help the promotion of sport to help young people find their way and get on a daily basis Sports activity.
