Princess Marina of Greece, visited haiti in 1935 to solemnly thank the people of Haiti for helping her country of Greese in 1821, Haiti a new republic could not offer more but provided what it could 40,000 dollars and 20,000 rifles, also sent 25 tons coffee beans to the revolutionaries, in order to be sold to buy weapons.
